Radiant Lighting Design is committed to excellence and client satisfaction with our Architectural Lighting Designs. Our team uses our creative extension of architecture (many call lighting the 4th dimension of architecture), in which; we improve the visibility, drama and function of form, shape, and color. The “medium of light” is invisible until it hits an object. Using our knowledge of how that invisible light is created and distributed will help us light the scene, objects, and/or tasks in the architectural environment. Our talent, experience, and techniques are used to create a visual environment to compliment and enhance the project goals.
We attend local and regional (IESNA – many per year) and international (Light+Building in Frankfurt, Germany and Lightfair, NYC once a year) trade shows/events to see and inspect new trends and technologies in our illumination world. These event’s keeps us in-touch with the manufacturers and their representatives in dialog for projects’ wants and needs (lighting cuts and details). Lighting Budgets are an important cost to control and we like to be on-board in Schematic Design Stage (latest to be early Design Development) so we can establish illumination and luminance criteria to design around and apply a Lighting Cost. And, Radiant Lighting Design likes to have by the time the Construction Documents go out to bid – Base Design fixtures and Alternative Design Lighting Solutions. The VE control comes up front and the competitive bidding is fantastic (keeps us in budget).
Sustainability (Green) has been in our vocabulary for over 10 years, we have been concerned about operations costs for all this time. We’ve been very successful in beating the energy codes by more than 10% for all these years (without ever diminishing the visual lighting environment). With us involved early and having dialog with the end user, the little up front cost for more efficient light/source has great pay-back implications. The end user can see simple pay backs from 2 to 4 years.
Good lighting enhances the mood and desirability of the spatial environment. Radiant Lighting Design has been successful in creating “good lighting” across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. We look at every opportunity as unique and treat our designs as such. Rendering and lighting analysis (as technical as it sounds) is important to every project as we look at illumination levels and luminance values (visual comfort and brightness contrast on targeted objects). We look forward to be of service to your Architectural LIGHTING needs and desires.
